A Women Development Cell (WDC) in a college plays a crucial role in promoting the overall well-being, empowerment, and development of female students. The primary aim of a WDC is to create a supportive and inclusive environment where women can thrive academically, professionally, and personally. A WDC, when effectively implemented, contributes significantly to creating a campus environment that empowers and supports female students, fostering their holistic development and preparing them for success in various aspects of life.

To empower women in all spheres of life enabling them to become agents of social and economic change and inculcating ethical values for the betterment of self, family and society.

Mission Statement

To train women to acquire wide range of skills and knowledge, to develop and increase their social, economic and intellectual capacities for peace, security and prosperity of mankind.

Objectives

  • To enhance the self-esteem and self-confidence of women students, faculty and staff in the college.
  • To promote intellectual and cultural activities for overall personality development of the students.
  • To develop the critical thinking of women students such that it enhances decision-making ability.
  • To enable women to make informed choices in areas like education, employment and health especially reproductive health.
